Paul Whintors is a NCAA Division 1 Varsity Hockey Cornell Graduate. Currently an assistant coach with the Langley Junior B Knights and head coach of the Peewee LGMHA team. Paul has coached and provided training to young hockey players throughout the lower mainland for the past 10 years from initiation to professional. Paul has mastered the breakdown of the skating stride/glide to enhance overall efficiency~ 15% faster using 15% less strides. Skating is an essential skill that requires continuous development throughout a player’s career (initiation to pro).
In our fall sessions we are offering an on-ice shooting instruction program. Players will have the opportunity to shoot hundreds of pucks while receiving instruction on their shooting technique. Our primary 10 step process will assist players with enhancing overall power and accuracy through a series of movements. Paul Whintors (Complex Hockey Training) owns and operates a certified Base Hockey shooting facility.
Power skating is a term most young hockey players are familiar with, but don’t typically enjoy the experience for many reasons. We guarantee to create a fun and exciting environment by relating all instruction to game situations. When player realize ‘power skating’ enables them to become better hockey players then they will have an enjoyable experience. Our skating techniques are the most sophisticated and technical movements in the marketplace today. We will also work on puck management, puck movement, body positioning to optimize puck possession. We will limit the session to no more than 15 skaters.
